new plans

I have made the following plans to pay off my two credit cards:

$307.14 balance Nov 1st 2009
pay $107.14 on Nov 13 2009
pay $100.00 on Nov 27 2009
pay $100.00 on Dec 11 2009
Zero balance.

$305.68 balance Nov 1st 2009
pay $105.68 Dec 28 2009
pay $100.00 Jan 8 2010
pay $100.00 Jan 22 2010
Zero balance.

Then pay off my mom the money that I owe her.
$100 on Feb 5 2010
$100 on Feb 19 2010
$100 on March 5 2010
$100 on March19 2010
Zero balance.

Then my car loan will be around $6200
so if I keep paying $200 a month, I should be debt free in about 2 and a half years.

The money I owe my boyfriend...well I've talked to him about paying him back several times, but he would rather I start saving as much as I can for an emergency fund.

    Sounds like good plans, but make sure you have some in an emergency fund also so you don't end up needing the credit cards again.

    What a generous boyfriend; make him proud and get that Emergency Fund started as soon as possible.

    What size Emergency Fund are you looking to have?

    I'm not sure what amount for the emergency fund, I think I should start with something I can handle like a savings goal of $600 maybe, then move up from that.

    Suggestion...PRETEND you still have credit cards, work the payment into your budget and hit the car payment really heavy.......God bless.

    It's great that you have a plan to lead to your goal, and I wish you every success along the path. Congrats on getting out from under the credit cards! That is a huge step. I like Mooshocker's plan, actually, to use it as insurance to get out from under the car payment, as well.
